Apple Of My Eye Part Two

Posted by admin

Hello...I'm back!
I'm finally finished with the
Reversible "Apple Of My Eye" Twirly Skirts!
I 've been having a great time with the possibilities and
endless ideas of mix and matching the beautiful
fabrics and patterns from this fun fabric line!
My daughter and her friend have been enjoying the possibilities of a fun
SOCK HOP from their school!
I embellished lime green shirts with fabric flowers.

The fabrics are featured in the previous post.
You can purchase the fabrics from:
My  favorite fabric from this line is the red apple polka dots!
So,I think I'm going to make red apples next!

The fabrics below show the reverse side of the twirly skirt.
Two skirts for one!
We are ready for summer!
I like to make my twirly skirts full,
so I use one yard of  fabric for each side.
Thanks for visiting!

Vintage Paper Doll Art

Posted by admin

Hello Friends!
Hello beautiful spring weather!
Just dropping by to share what I've been up to in my craft room the past few days.
I've been creating
Vintage Paper Doll Art
with scrapbook paper!
A little change from fabric!
Great fun for a Vintage Birthday Party!
Simply made from scrapbook paper scraps, ribbon and embellishments !
Frame your creations with  12 X 12 Scrapbook frames.
A great addition for bare walls in craft rooms, girls room etc.
I added a few quotes.
"Happy people are the fizz in the soda of life."

I plan to make a few for my daughter's room, except we will use a lot of  PINK!
Come along and make some, they are fun!
Especially great for crafting with your daughters!

I used black easels and black tulle to display the 12 X 12 pages.
Let's get started!
All you need is:
Polka Dot Scrapbook paper, paper scraps,  glue dots, embellishments
and a little imagination!

I simply cut a 12 X 12 sheet of scrapbook paper in half, which gives you two skirts!

I folded the paper accordion style like a fan and now you have a skirt!
I used glue dots on each end of skirt.
Pinch and move paper to form a waist line as shown below.

cut one 3 X 3 inch square, fold in half, cut to form a bodice front.
I did a scalloped edge on the sleeve.
Now you are ready to embellish and add a few accessories!
If you have broken jewelry chains, this works great for the purse!
I used micro tiny buttons found at Michaels.

You are finished and ready for the party!
Have Fun!

Life's not a dress rehearsal
Go knock 'em dead!

Don't forget a few Party Favors.!

I made black and white polka dot flower pins with a little tulle for a vintage look.
You can pin them to scarves, purses, shirts, just about anywhere!

CELEBRATE!
Thanks for visiting!
Enjoy!
